New Beauty In 2010

This new decade brings in a wave of excitement for new beginnings and chances for change. This is your moment to get gorgeous and live the most beautiful life imagined. I have just returned from a month long vacation traveling through Australia and Bali and have come back to my world rejuvenated and filled with excitement for everything 2010! While on my journey my eyes were opened to beauty in a fresh new way. I discovered new products, was inspired by beautiful cultures and experienced a sense of joy in the way women celebrate life in other parts of the world. You can check out some of my beauty travel blogs on www.dailymakeover.com. All women can change their life for the better and it is so easy. It’s just about having a positive attitude and the belief that you are surrounded by abundance. You need to kick out any negative thoughts and start to adore yourself. Get into a good beauty routine that will help you take a moment each day to ritualize your femininity. Start taking at least 1 bath a week. Light candles, add a few drops of essential oils and scatter a few flower petals into the water and relax. This form of meditation will help you calm your spirit and cleanse your body at the same time. Make sure you care for your feet and hands. A regular manicure/pedicure can be done at home or at a spa and keeps your skin soft and your nails pretty. Carry hand lotion is your bag and change up your usual nail shades for fun new colors. Enhance your natural beauty. Learn how to play up your best features with my book The Face Minute Face and leave the house each day looking your very best. This year the trend is beautiful angelic skin that glows so grab products like luminizing primers, sheer spray foundations and highlight creams that are a must to create this flawless finish. Create your own destiny. Make a vision board by cutting out images and words from magazines that inspire you and paste them on a large piece of white cardboard. Place it where you can see it each morning and visualize them in your life. New beauty in your life is yours in 2010; all you have to do is celebrate it.

Georgia Williams writes:
I can never seem to get my bath crystals to disintegrate in the tub. They sit at the bottom like little rocks.

Carmindy:
Start pouring them in slowly under the hot running water and then wait a little bit for them to begin disintegrating. They are actually working even when they are sitting at the bottom of the tub. If you don’t like the feeling of them use liquid bath gel or bath powders.

Jill Bowen writes:
Do I apply primer over moisturizer or skip moisturizer?

Carmindy:
Always start off with a good moisturizer followed by a sunscreen and wait a beat or two. Then apply a little primer and begin your makeup routine.

Barbara Killarney writes:
I love your airbrush makeup but I spray it in the palm of my hands and apply it with my fingers. How do you use it?

Carmindy:
That works really well but I also like to spray it on a non-latex sponge and then apply it for a quick and sheer application.
